Commissioner John Dunn
endorses David Shafer for vacated Ray seat
(Lilburn) Gwinnett County Commissioner
John Dunn endorsed Republican stalwart David Shafer for Senate
today.
Shafer is running to fill the seat vacated by Billy Ray, State
Senate District 48.
"Senator - now
Superior Court Judge - Billy Ray will be sorely missed in the
delegation," said Dunn, adding, "and whoever wins that seat will
have some big shoes to fill."
Dunn continued,
"Knowing David Shafer as long as I have, and knowing
his abilities, I believe him to be the best possible replacement for
Billy Ray. David is hard working. I like his ideas on taxes,
education, crime, and most of all: greenspace acquisition. David has
outstanding Republican credentials, but by the same token, can
work with the other side as needed serve the citizens of his
district and the people of Gwinnett County."
"I would urge my friends in Senate District 48 to vote for David
Shafer," concluded Dunn, adding, "he will not disappoint you."
