18, David endorsed these candidates:
"These candidates are running independently of each other, but they
all share my endorsement," David said. "I hope everyone

Republican Liberty Caucus publishes primary voting guide
David has long been a member of the Republican Liberty Caucus, a
national grass roots organization formed in 1990 to advance the
principles of limited government, free markets and individual
liberty within the Republican Party. David was named the RLC's
Honorary State Chairman in 2002 when the Georgia chapter was
formally chartered. If you support lower taxes and less government,

David appointed to Governor's cord blood commission
Gov. Sonny Perdue announced the appointments of 15 people to the
Commission for Newborn Umbilical Cord Blood Research and Medical
Treatment, which Perdue created by executive order to promote
non-embryonic stem cell research.
The commission members include Sen. David Shafer (R-Duluth); Rep. Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta); Dr. Thomas J. Lawley,
dean of the Emory University School of Medicine; Dr. Steven L. Stice,
director of the Regenerative Bioscience Center at the University of
Georgia; Dr. Robert K. Yu, director of the Institute of Molecular
Medicine and Genetics and the Institute of Neuroscience at the
Medical College of Georgia.
